Westcoast Blast Bait 2.0 Fast Sink 120 mm

West Coast Poppers Blast Bait 2.0 is an upgrade from the previous model but stronger, more durable with better casting performance and a new finish.

The West Coast Poppers Blast Bait 2.0 Slow Sink is a handmade sinking stickbait developed for serious anglers who demand natural action, precise control and exceptional durability. Its fast sink rate and balanced presentation allow the Blast Bait to cover multiple levels of the water column – from fast retrieves just beneath the surface to slower presentations with extended pauses.

The Blast Bait 2.0 is constructed around a solid ABS shell, with solid resin throughout the lower half of the body containing both the internal weighting and stainless-steel through-wire. The upper section features polyurethane infill before the lure is sealed, sanded, hand painted and finished with a protective epoxy coating. The result is an extremely durable lure designed to withstand repeated attacks from powerful saltwater predators.

The Fast Sink version combines a swimming s-action with a balanced, level flutter on the drop. This keeps the lure working even during pauses and allows it to remain within the strike zone for longer.

Retrieve it quickly and the Blast Bait tracks naturally below the surface but will still remain under. Reduce the retrieve speed and introduce longer pauses to progressively work the lure deeper through the water column while maintaining excellent contact and control.

This versatility makes the Blast Bait 2.0 particularly effective when fish are unwilling to consistently commit to surface lures. Anglers can search quickly near the surface before adjusting the retrieve to target fish holding deeper – without changing lures.

Pre-Rigged with BKK Lone Diablo

The rigged version comes ready to fish with 2 × 4/0 BKK Lone Diablo Inline Single Hooks and Size 6 Ten Mouth Hyper Ring GT Stainless Split Rings.

This provides a heavy-duty terminal setup straight from the package, designed for encounters with large and exceptionally powerful fish.

The Blast Bait 2.0 is designed for species including GT, kingfish, yellowfin tuna, southern bluefin tuna, longtail tuna, Spanish mackerel, cobia, mahi mahi, coral trout and red bass. The concept can also be highly effective in Nordic waters for species such as large coalfish, particularly when predators are actively feeding on baitfish higher in the water column.
