Maxel Sealion has a strong construction forged in one piece aluminum. The superb surface coating comes from the latest anodizing process to create a corrosion resistant surface for maximum durability in extremely salty environments. The roller has eight large stainless steel ball bearings and the lever brake consists of the latest technology for an effective braking action. The American carbon fiber brake delivers an incredibly smooth braking action in all positions. New predetermined lever brake positions have been fine-tuned and deliver a consistent braking force in all positions. Few reels can match this reel for functionality and durability, especially in tough environments. With the two-speed design, you can lower the gear ratio to get more power during the cranking, which is especially appreciated if you are fighting a large fish where you need to be able to crank in a little line at a time under high pressure.
