For many anglers around the world, the Daiwa Certate has been the first choice when it comes to light spinning fishing in both fresh and salt water thanks to its compact but strong construction.
Now Daiwa is proud to present a new model in a more powerful design to suit all heavier spinning fishing, whether it is in Nordic waters, popper fishing or jigging. The new Certate SW is built with the same Monocoque housing as the well-known Saltigan. Built in one piece with room for an extra large GT Duralumin gear, also inspired by Saltigan, all to achieve maximum strength and durability.

This reel is equipped with Zaion drive shaft which makes the Certate SW very light and extremely strong.
The braking system is based on several layers of carbon fiber plates that provide a very strong and soft brake. Daiwa’s design of the brake discs combined with an aluminum knob reduces heat build-up under hard pressure. The oval crank handle provides a secure and comfortable grip, both while fishing and drilling. With the new design inspired by previous Certate models and Saltigan, this is one of the most exciting reels in a long time.

The reel housing is equipped with Magseal technology and has a Magseal layer in the line guide on the bail, which makes the Certate SW well protected against salt and water during fishing. This is ideal for popper fishing in tropical latitudes or heavy spinning in Nordic waters.
